Terms of Service

Last updated: 14 October 2026 | Version: 1.4

This is an English translation of the Polish Terms of Service. In case of any discrepancy, the Polish version prevails.

1. General provisions

These Terms govern the use of the Akademia application (the “App”), installed in an online store on the Shopify platform to create, host and sell online courses and educational materials.

The service provider is Rafał Konieczny, ul. Krzycka 6c/6, 53-020 Wrocław, Poland, tax ID (NIP) 8992557720, EU VAT number PL8992557720, e-mail: support@akademia.studio.

By installing the App through the Shopify App Store, the User (the store owner) accepts these Terms, the related Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Agreement.

2. Pricing and billing

Fees are collected by Shopify as an app subscription (Shopify App Pricing); the plan is selected and approved on the plan page in the Shopify admin, and the charge appears on the store’s Shopify invoice. The generally available plans are the Founding Merchant and Standard plans described below.

  • Founding Merchant plan: free of charge, with the same features and limits as the Standard plan. It is offered for a limited time to the first stores, and we may stop offering it to new stores at any time. A store that selected it keeps using it free of charge until it changes plans or uninstalls the App; a change to the terms of this plan does not apply to stores already on it. After a plan change or a reinstallation, the Founding Merchant plan can be selected only if it is still offered.
  • Standard plan: USD 29 for each 30-day billing period, charged in advance at the start of the period.
  • Free trial: 14 days from plan approval. There is no charge for the trial period.
  • Included: 100 GB of video storage and 500 GB of playback bandwidth per billing period; unlimited courses, lessons and learners. Bandwidth is estimated from viewing time.
  • No usage charges. When the storage limit is reached, uploading new videos is paused until space is freed; when the bandwidth limit is reached, playback resumes at the start of the next period.
  • Custom plans: when a store needs higher limits or different terms, we may set up a custom plan for it, e.g. the Standard 3x plan with three times higher limits. A custom plan is made available to the specific store, and the User approves it in the Shopify admin in the same way as the Standard plan — contact us.

We reserve the right to introduce other plans and configurations in the future. A new plan applies to a store only after the User approves it in the Shopify admin.

3. Responsibility for content and copyright

The User represents that they hold all copyrights or licences to the videos, PDF files and other content published in courses through the App.

The App must not be used to host material that is unlawful, infringes the rights of third parties, is obscene, or contains malicious software.

4. Cancellation and uninstallation

The User may cancel the subscription at any time by uninstalling the App from the Shopify admin. Uninstalling stops further charges; the service remains available until the end of the paid period. After uninstallation, the store’s data and videos are permanently deleted after 48 hours. If the subscription expires without the App being uninstalled, the service is suspended and the User has 30 days to resume the subscription or export the data; after that, the data and materials are permanently deleted.

5. Contact and support

Support is provided by e-mail at: support@akademia.studio. We usually reply within 1–2 business days.
